Atomic City New Jersey Design
As many of you may know, UT-Battelle is now the principle sponsor of Atomic City Cycling. Therefore, ACC will be ordering new jerseys for 08 that put the emphasis on UT-Battelle. It is significantly different than the design for 07. Tony Christen has put much time into making a unique jersey. Tony did a great job of incorporating UT-Battelle's colors and logo into the jersey while retaining the "atomic" theme. Click on the link immediately below to see the 08 jersey design.
We will soon be placing orders for the new jersey and would like to get a head count on who would like a jersey. If you are interested, please send me, Jeff Woody (jeffwoody@atlasconsulting.org), or Tom Hanlon (hanlonte@ornl.gov or hanlonte@gmail.com) an email message indicating your interest with the quantity and the size of the jersey. The cost of the jersey will depend on the number of orders that we have, but we anticipate the cost being in the neighborhood of $50 to $60. Members of ACC get the jersey at cost while non-members will have to pay more for the jersey. It pays to be a member. You can find the application and instructions on how to join ACC on this homepage.

Atomic City Cycling organizes rides on Tuesday evening during the late Spring, Summer, and early Fall. Additionally, Atomic City organizes rides on Saturday mornings. The start times for the rides vary from week to week, and the rides typically start at West Bicycles in Farragut. Throughout the year we try to ride from various areas within East Tennessee including Maryville, Townsend, and Loudon.
To be added to the ride list please contact Paul Harriss at paul.harris@us.schneider-electric.com. Paul maintains the master list of riders and distributes information about up-coming rides to all members of the list. Additionally, announcements will be made on this website for other rides. The pace for these rides vary, but we typically adhere to a no rider left behind policy.
You will not ride back alone.
Atomic City Cycling is not just a "road" club. We have members that also ride mountain bikes. Fewer members participate in these rides, but we welcome new members and current members to participate in such rides. Dan Tyrrell (dctyrrell@knologoy.net) is our avid mountain bike rider and organizes rides at Haw Ridge. Contact Dan if you would like to join him and others for some off-road fun.
Please check our MESSAGE BOARD for ride updates and changes. If you are organizing a ride and would like some company just post a message to the message board.
